For the VVV Kromme Rijnstreek, we created a unique combination of a physical map and an interactive interface. The heart of the project: an impressive 3-by-3-meter map, printed on tension fabric and placed in a backlit display at the center of the visitor center.
Additionally, we developed a custom digital console with a user-friendly interface, allowing visitors to explore the region’s stories, hiking trails, cycling routes, and points of interest.
The map itself is illustrated in a vibrant comic style, featuring castles, Roman ruins, cycling junctions, and even a Viking ship. By using a creative perspective and highlighting key locations through smart scaling, the result is a map that is both informative and visually striking.
This blend of imagery, experience, and technology is what MoMoLab excels at.
And we’re not done yet—this summer, we’ll be adding new content and interactive layers to the interface.
